Felt just about doable on 4m so rigged. Wind increased a lot and having rigged and wetsuited up carried on. Even windier than it looked so pleased to get some gybes, even toesides in. Several months ago I couldn't get a single gybe in not quite this wind so must be improving. Felt lucky not to hole a wing as board blew over a few times after falling in.
Tried riding a few knee highs but Owen said no power in them. On last wave got three pumps, then hit shallows, Owen said not enough power in them, but maybe shallows gave some power. Think with neaps less water flowing in Strait so smaller swells, considering the wind was oddly small sea. Would have been awesome blasting to sand bank on windsurfer.
